I just realized that the 4th of July fireworks are coming up this weekend. Is there anything we can do to help our chicks through them? They just moved outside 2 nights ago.

They'll probably be fine, but they may be more comfortable if you brought them inside for the night. I would suggest putting a blanket or something over the coop to muffle the noise, but that would not allow for enough air circulation.

I have 3 pens currently. One with an totally enclosed coop and 2 open air coops ( 3 sided). When the 4th roles around I have found that my girls snuggle in their roost and it seems to have little effect on them. Ive always thought that partly its because most of the firework noise happens well after dark and the birds are usually in their sleep mode. The same seems true for the closed and open coops. I usually let them free range in the morning and then put them away earlier than usual and give them some treats in the pens... Flock Block, melon, cabbage etc.
