Not meaning this to be seasonally appropriate here in the states, but what does the quail produced sound of a high pitched ascending whistle mean? They’ve only done it a few times (sorry no sound file) and the first time I thought it was a fireworks rocket going up (a little like a sora rail or a very high pitched whinny). They all seem to freeze during the call and then go back to life as usual. May be a reaction to wild birds outside, it isn’t the usual alarm call. Just curious, Rosetta Stone doesn’t have a quail option yet!
