firs timer help!!!! please

Hey i. Need some opinions on what is a good quit, nice, hen that lays an abundence of larger eggs.

And alsi some help on a coop size for about 8-10 of them.

! Great to have you with us! Lots of quiet breeds from which to choose: the sexlink types (Red Stars, Black Stars...and they go by other names) are layers and mine are quiet. Buff Orps, and Sussex are also quiet in my experience. As to coop size you need to figure 4 sq. ft. of coo space per average sized bird (10 sq. ft. per bird in the run). My advice is to make it bigger in case you want to add birds at some point. Good luck to you and have fun. Below is a handy chart for comparing breeds.

I agree! Especially the part about making it bigger to plan for the future, chickens are a contagious disease!
 
Haha thank you very much ill have to see what of those i can get around me. Used to have chickens when i was little now that i got my own place i want my own chickens.
