This is Day 18 for the first Ameraucana egg from my trio. We moved it to the MegaBator/Hatcher this afternoon. The other five are only on Day 11(2 are Ameraucanas), but they were all growing well when I candled yesterday. Cross your fingers for a little blue or black pullet chick!

Hope for some blue girls for you! Maybe some black ones like Scout!

I am sending all of my pullet vibes to you. Come on girlie!

BTW - I know I send all of my pullet vibes out, because my hatch of 14 buff orps gave me 11 boys and 3 girls.

Definitely not typical and very frustrating, so back to the hatching table I go.

Speaking of Sussex, is that pullet of yours with Suede? Maybe that will throw some "Porcelain" Orpingtons....

Porcelain Orpingtons are found in UK, none yet here. I figured the closest is Sussex.....Not sure what we will get but maybe soemthing for me to experiment huh? They are lovely but never seen any pics...have to google some more to find moe info. how about Red Orpingtons???? Cross with RIR might do the job. Man, I wished we have all the colors of Orpingtons that UK has....

No, sorry, the Speckled Sussex girl is in with the Ameraucanas. Wonder what that cross would look like? Can't say I've ever heard of anyone crossing the two. They sure do have interesing colors overseas, don't they?
