One of my hens (who just started laying a few weeks ago) laid this egg. I'm not sure which one, I found it in a nest box along with a few others, as per usual. This egg is blue (my camera didn't quite pick up the coloring) and there was another large blue egg that was normal. The "wrinkled" part is soft. I'm assuming this egg isn't safe to eat. But I'm more worried about the hen... Was this caused by stress? Was the egg pushed up against another, causing this? Or was it a lack of calcium? I give them crushed oyster shell and they're on a 17% layer feed. I've never seen this before and just want to make sure whoever laid this egg is OK. TIA!
