So, fox has jumped the wire fence, somehow gotten the door open and gone on a spree. From inside the coop, the side door had been pushed open (caught a foxy tuft of fur)

My hens were so lovely and each had a style. Paisley would eat from your hand, Mama would attack the dogs (i hope she gave the fox what for before dying), Audrey had a bald patch. Ethel judged everything. Oh sad.

We will go to abundant layers in emerald and replace them in a few weeks.... after further fox proofing, it seems.
