We have our first bator, a foam forced air. This is really exciting to our kids so I don't want to screw up. We have the temp at right at 96 to 98. With a glass bowl of water for humidity. They were set on Friday at right about 4. We're turning them at 7 am 4 pm and 11 pm. Any suggestions of what I might be doing wrong would be appreciated.

And what day are they on. The eggs were layed Tuesday through Thursday. The lady did store them big side down to bring them to my hubby wed night and thurs night. Which really worries me. And exactly what day is lockdown I've heard 21 and 23.

Chickens lockdown is day 18, and other poultry take different times. Some ducks and all geese take longer. Google the hatching times for your eggs by breed, it will tell you how long. As a rle, you 'lockdown' by stopping turning and putting up the relative umidity three days before hatch.
