First broody hen now what? (Pics added)

What's with all the blood ring about? I had 4 or 5 with it now.

This site says it was improper egg storage, wrong incubation temperatures, or poor nutrition of the parents. This is written for the commercial operators but it has good information.

Thanks! Yep she is! Never thought one of my red star hens would go broody.She's a keeper for sure though.I'm keeping momma (Henrietta) and babies.So far the dark gray looking one my son named Chippy and the other two yellow ones are Miracle (first to hatch) and Lucky.They look like daddy rooster a white cochin named Duke.The gray one I'm not sure how that came about but I guess with a red star mixed with a white cochin roo you don't know what your gonna get.It's a beauty though! Has a little red on it but mostly grayish color.
