Helpful tips, do’s and don’t’s I should know about broody hens. We have our first.

We did move her to her own coop.

We did move there to her own coop.
Guess it depends on what your intentions are.

The first time I had a broody I didn’t want to hatch eggs. Didn’t have a roo either. She tried to nest in a spot close to the coop so all I had to do was take her in at night and she broke herself.

Do you want to her to hatch? Do you want to break her quickly? You’ll get better tips if we know what your plans are.

Yes we would like to have chicks. We currently incubate our own eggs so this would be a nice change and nice experience.
