Putting hatched chicks with broody hen

I am in the process of giving chicks to a hen (made my own post). How can you tell the momma has truly accepted them? How long do you recommend waiting until taking the chicks back? My broody hen is acting strange with the chicks and I’m nervous (she’s raised chicks before)

How long had she been broody? When did you give her the chicks? How old are the chicks?

She has been broody for three weeks. I gave her chicks around 10pm in the evening and the chicks were under 24 hours old.

So what is she doing? Soft clucks and interacting gently are good signs.

I'd also like to add that if they've been with her this long already and she hasn't hurt any of them you're probably good to go.
