First broody of the year

I finally got my first broody of the year! Surprisingly, it wasn't my Cochin hen either. It's my Black jersey giant hen (who's only been laying for about a month!) I currently have her sitting on some duck eggs.

Id love to know what everyone's favorite broody breed is though. That, and what's the youngest you've ever had a hen go broody?!

Game fowl hens are my favorites because in addition to being excellent setters they are great defenders of their chicks.
