First Call Duck Egg of the Season!

My mandies didnt start laying last year until mid april (i think?)

mine is so cute and fat with eggs, minus the spots where she pulled her feathers out for the nest.

Got another one today! I dont know if its one hen or both.

And I got a third one today! I'm gathering these up and, if they continue to lay at this rate (one a day), I'll have enough by the weekend to set a clutch in the incubator. After I hatch that initial clutch artificially, I'm going to give all subsequent call duck eggs to my cochin hens to hatch.

Well, I've gotten 5 eggs in the past week.... not too bad.
