Two years is a wait!
I imagine she will! We got our cayuga as a hatchling in the fall time, and then fast forward a year and we were moving in the fall, and we think that may have thrown her off of "wanting" to lay (unsure if that is real or just a wildguess), and now that it has gotten warm out after wintertime we thought maybe all of the conditions/variables were right.Nice egg Congrats. I just adopted a Cayuga in Jan she is 4 yrs old and so far no egg from her, I keep waiting.
I would say black, kinda ombres interestingly enough!1st eggs are cool! What do we call its' color?
When did your girls first lay? I feel that i had read cayugas begin laying closer to the one year mark. Thank you as wellSuper long wait compared to my girls!
