I'm cross posting this from my introduction post, I wasn't sure about making thread.

They are bantam wyandottes, got shipped to me, humidity has been above 45%, only once dropped to 40% but it woke me up. One hadn't made it at the last candling before lockdown.

I started lockdown one day too early, I counted the first day like the beginner I am. Now it's day 21.

I currently have 9 in the incubator, one woke me up this morning at 5am. It has zipped the half so far, but since— nothing. I no longer see its tooth, but its breathing.

It's now 6pm. The membrane is slowly starting to change color to yellow, despite humidity constantly being between 65-70%. I don't seem to be able to raise it any higher. Right now I'm filling with hot water periodically, simply accepting the fact that the incubator immediately leaks at the bottom. (Who designed that?)

None of the others have wiggled or chirped yet at all. I know, I shouldn't interfer since the others might pay the price.

It's just so heartbreaking, knowing there is a life that is struggling and there's nothing to do. I'm worried the chirps are becoming weaker.. I've tried playing chirping sounds on YouTube, hoping to maybe inspire it.

Then I'm scared about the rest. Could something have happened to them since I candled them before lockdown? They got shipped, so that adds a day I right? And of course, they'll be ready at their own time...

How did I think I could handle this? I'm way too stressed right now.

It may just be resting. Hatching is hard work. If you need to up the humidity add wet cloths, sponges, or even paper towels. More wet surface equals more humidity. Also a chick hatching helps. Hope you have chicks soon.
I ended up helping it out. Its much more vocal than ever, but might need help drying.

As it fell through the grate, I'm leaving it there right now.

It hasn't fluffed up though. I assume it was pretty sticky, I might just leave it in until tomorrow?

It is now 10am over here, the little one is still complaining at me from beneath the grate. It's still sticky, but there's just not much I can do in this case.

The other 8 are still not convinced it seems.

I think I'll just go back to sleep. My nerves are a mess.
