11 of 13 hatched and are healthy... one egg may not have been fertilized and sadly one died in shell while I was sleeping. I know they say don't assist them out of shell but that one may have lived so I'm bummed about it.

Hatched 7 Maran, 3 Brahma (the 2 failed were also Brahma), and a Rhode Island Red. Hoping the father was our Silkie rooster but the Brahma rooster had just started making the rounds so he's a possible father.

This is the first flock I've ever had two roosters working in tandem and it's been a great experience! Brahma is the huge brute who scares large birds of prey away and Silkie is a mean little fighter... together they've kept the flock safe
