I had been listening for a while, but I normally don't go out as early as I did that day. They were crowing by 5 am and it was still very very dark outside.
I just came in and I hear Cockadoodle doo. I think "Alright my little boy is grown up"
But I`m also thinking that it was not to loud nor did it sound like he was close so I run out side to find him. I found him on the otherside of the garage and I wait for him to crow again. It was not my boy that crowed .It was my nieghbors down the street.
I know it is going to be just like when my daughter was a baby. I could not wait for her to talk. Once she started talking she would not shut up.
Today my roo crowed for the first time! Yay! It was kind of funny. He is a Jersey Giant and they are suppose to have a really deep crow. It sounded like he was crowing under his breath. It was like he wanted to crow but he did not want to wake anybody up.
My buckeye roo just let out his first baby crow 2 weeks ago! (at about 13 weeks). It was so cute! But within the hour we had to put him on craigslist, b/c no roos allowed here
. He has gone to a very good home, but I do miss hearing his crows in the morning! I did manage to get a video of it before he left; I have watched it about 3 dozen times
