I think it's unlikely that the spider was the cause. If there was a bite you would find evidence of it on the body, puncture, swelling, a sore, etc. Often chickens eat spiders with no problems. I hope you are able to get a necropsy so you have answers. I think it's more likely that she had an underlying problem that caused it, had she ever laid an egg? If it were the coop I think you would be seeing something with your other birds too, but I would look for anything toxic that they could have been exposed to just to be on the safe side. But the new coop may just be coincidence. I do hope you are able to find out for sure.
 
She has been laying eggs. But, I think she might have eaten something. Niot a spider but something else. I will try to see about the necropsy. There was some metal debree that may have been left in the coop. ( hardware cloth) Probably really small peices that she might have acidently eaten. Thanks you.
