First Duck Egg!!

we had 2 duck eggs this am.. one was the size of a chicken's egg. Then later today.. around 4pm... there were 2 more duck eggs outside in the duck's area. They were both soft shell. I assume it is because one of the duck's systems is trying to regulate itself?

I did not take pictures. They were squishy eggs. Will be interesting to see if we get any in the am.

if ducks laying are like chickens you are probably right. our chickens layed some soft eggs off and on in the very begininng. you will have to keep us updated on how it goes. i am still waiting our ducks are only 3 months old but they sure a big and grew fast!!! i cant wait for duck eggs.

i have to say you have some pretty nails too. i can't grow any nails anymore since i stay so busy with the goats and all the ducks and chickens. my poor nails don't stand a chance!!! lol!!!
