First dust bath

Why-oh-why isn't my little roo sunbathing? I'm really worried it could hurt him not to bathe...

so far its day 2 and my chickens are dust bathing....
maybe fine sand isnt the best and woodchips might be better?

I'd just leave them be. They know what they need in that regard, I am sure. I see this in the same light as trying to make them lay. You can't.
