First dust bath

After reading several posts here, I realized that our 4 week olds need more than crushed straw to bathe in, so my fiance filled a bowl with dirt and pebbles, and as soon as he put it in the brooder all 6 of them jumped in peeping their little heads off kicking up the biggest cloud of dust! I wish I had realized earlier they needed that. It was so cute to watch them.

I usually put one in at around 2 weeks of age. I keep mine in the brooder with shavings and they will roll around in that at first but they do have a fit for the real stuff. Aren't they adorable doing that? We have a blast watching them have fun.
