First egg after hatching

I wasn’t expecting to be excited to see my hen laying again her chicks hatched June 11th and she’s still 110% mama mode.

I've had hen wean chicks and start laying as early as 4 weeks old and others that have waited until chicks are 10 or more weeks old. It varies greatly from bird to bird and from breed to breed.

Awww. Congrats! You should totally post some pics... I'm sure that we would all love to see mama and chicks!
