It's almost as exciting as the first egg ever!
My four 1-year-old hens have been "off-duty" since the end of November, and have just begun again! I noticed they began digging in the nest box again yesterday after ignoring it completely all winter. I was actually surprised to see it begin again so soon, as we are still just under 10 hours of daylight. Way to go chickens!
