So I'm not 100% sure it's my first egg, my hens free range the yard and we have a patch of woods they like to go in. I was cleaning out the coop and found a shell. Hoping it was just thin and they broke it, not that I have an egg eater. Since I found it I got the nesting box in put in. I hope they like it. Kept it on the smaller side (IMO) so they wouldn't mess it. Anyway, how will I tell if I have an egg eater?

(I made the nest box out of an old Seattle crate, I like the rustic look lol)

Sorry, I don't know how to tell if you have an egg eater... but, I LOVE your nest box [IMG]
I have some old cranberry boxes that I might do up the same way someday when I have a bigger coop and more chickens [IMG]
    Good luck.
