First Egg Countdown

I LOVE this thread! I have 3 Bantam Mille Fleur Cochins that I'm waiting and waiting for them to lay! One has layed a couple shell less eggs (SO disappointing!) and then went broody, sitting on 2 wooden eggs

So, she is now sitting on adoptive bantam Araucana eggs and is happy as can be!

If I had those birds, I'd spoil them rotten, and not even care if they ever laid. "It's ok Myrtle, you're too fabulous for eggs!"

Pele you're so funny, and kind! Myrtle is my favorite and I've told her many times that even if she lays "bad" eggs I'll always love her and give her a good place to roost

They are definitely eye candy for my yard and they have sweet dispositions too.

OMG double yay!

Carmelita decided to step up to the plate! Now I have two ladies working hard on the eggs!

Here's Drusilla's egg from this morning (darker one), and Carmelita's egg this afternoon (lighter one):

Carmelita is the one in the photo. Interestingly enough, she's much darker colored than Dru, and she lays the lighter egg. Weird chickens.

But I loves them!

Your probably right I bet she doesn't lay tomorrow if she does it will be a BB LOL.
