We got four eggs for the first time today, which means we're up to four or five of our nine laying. Here's the color assortment we got today:

Hope I am doing this right. Our girls are right at 20 weeks.A few have been laying for 8 days as of today. Each day or two there has been more in the nest.Theres 4 Barred Rocks,1 RIR,4 Wyandottes and 4 EE.And 1 cochin shes my only white layer. The Wyandottes started and theyve all followed them.As you can see they all like the same box. Some lay early in the morning and the rest late afternoon. So its cute to be out there and they'll be one on the nest. And another standing and waiting.Top picture is my first 3 from last week. The second was yesterday morning.

And they all have their own boxes!Hope it was okay to add this one.

First egg from one of the australorps. The rest should be coming online soon! All chickens are about 21 weeks old.

I have two red sex links that are 16 weeks and a silkie, barred rock and dominique that are 13 weeks. I'm going crazy waiting for eggs! I simply can't wait!

Anyways, I love all the pictures of everyone's girls and their first eggs. It's so exciting.

Here are my two red sex links(16 weeks). I'll post pics of my three other girls when they get closer to laying age.

Update: My 2 red sex links are the only two I have now. I waited and waited for the barred rock and Dominique to lay. Finally at 24 weeks the dominique started talking to me and getting very red in the comb. Then she suddenly died. Two days later my barred rock died.

This silkie turned out to be a rooster and had to move out. It's been very sad.

On a positive note, These red sex links have not let me down. They each have consistently laid an egg every day, only skipping maybe 3 days in 2 months.

Congrats to those who have first eggs and to those who will have first eggs soon. It's such an exciting experience!
