First Egg Countdown

I will try to add pics of the girls faces tomorrow. I'd like to know if its rooster or disease. They don't act sick bathe are 6 1/2 months and should be laying but they aren't.

I just google dry foul pox. I sadly fear this is what it is. The pictures I saw look too much like my girls. What I read said theres no real treatment. Says dry pox is not as bad as the wet pox. But I must apologize, this thread isn't about that its about eggs. Could be why they aren't laying. I'm sad. :(

Finally! One of my Ameraucana/Easter Eggers/ Whatevers laid an egg! It is kind of a pale grayish turquoise. Hard to see in the picture, but I will post it anyway. This is my bounty for today. Wellsummer egg, Maran egg and EE egg.

Congrats on the pretty egg! I can see the blue, I have heard photographing them is tricky. They will look different in the light and background, depending. How old is your EE?

Congrats to you getting eggs.

For those of you worried about fowl pox, use the search feature here. There are a lot of threads on it. They will heal from it, and wet pox is much worse. Don't freak out. There are many causes that can look like a disease, but are not.

Thank you happy Chooks. I haven't gotten face pics yet. One hen really looks like pics of pols. My 2 Orps aren't near as bad. You offer encouragement and I thank you for that. I'm going with the thought that they may have it but hoping for the best. I've been on line reading up and on this forum. Still on the egg watch though. None yet. By the way, Bill has no scabs at all he looks great and crowing away
