Here are two of the 20 week welsummers I'm waiting on. It will probably be another month before they start laying.

Yes congrats decure! We got our first from our leghorn one at 15.7 weeks old, not sure which leghorn is laying, we have 2. Our chickens were a day or 2 old when we got them on Feb 28th, so they're the same age as yours. Our first egg was June 19th, and we are eggspecting 2 eggs in a day any time now. Or maybe both are laying, don't know yet. We've gotten one every day now with only one day as an exception when there was no egg. I'd call them medium/small eggs, but they should get larger.

I'm wondering if one of our white leghorns is going to be laying soon. Ours are still pretty young (15ish weeks) but one of them has been in the nestboxes quite a bit over the last few days. Comb is huge & red compared to the rest. But no squatting yet.

Do you have a rooster? If so, you will likely never have them squat for you. (they do that for the rooster)

If she's practicing in the nests, that's a good sign. Leghorns can mature quickly, so it is possible. I notice my pullets get REALLY vocal right before they start laying. Then you will see them pacing back and forth from the coop squawking. That is the day you will get an egg.
