Gratz! My Golden Comets turn 16 weeks tomorrow and 1 has been developing her comb and waddles and looks like she is ready. Will put in some golf balls and open the nexting boxes tonight!Ya !!! Got my first egg today ! I've got 7 hens that are 18 weeks . I was not expect ung them to start so soon

They should be coming soon. We got our first brown egg yesterday and she is 17.5 weeks old, and got another today. Small, but eggs anyway. After worring that we would run out for this weekend, now we have 4 again ready to cook.
I know the feeling, I have been waiting for what seems like forever, too. Mine will be 28 weeks and still nothing.

No complainin' - I've waited 11 MONTHS for an egg before. (you don't feel so bad, now do ya) Both hens (of different breeds) went broody not long after starting to lay.
