First Egg Countdown

Our 22 week EE laid her first egg yesterday. It was small, as most first eggs are, but with a firm shell. It was a beautiful shade of green. I'll post a picture on Monday. My son was thrilled!
I am so happy for you. Heard you got three more eggs this weekend. WAY TO GO!!!!

This morning while having a late cup of coffee around 10am one of my BO began wildly singing the "egg song". I was so excited, I thought the day was here - my first egg. No luck, I searched everywhere; the coop, nest boxes, out in the run. NO EGG. I think I saw her laughing as I walked away.

Not really. I got them from a local hardware store that wasn't clear on their age. 6-8 weeks is what they told me. This picture was a week ago but they haven't changed much. I switched them to layer feed. So there could be a 2 week discrepancy. Are you thinking more like 16 weeks?
