Yeah, I just have 7. So, doing their individual name stamps wasn't too out of line. I'm going to be giving some of my girls' eggs away to the neighbors, who have kids... so... I thought it would be fun for them while really driving the point home about where some of their food comes from.That would be alot for me I have 23 girls and about to add more..
I think if I had more than 10 hens though, what I'd do instead is break it down to the different breeds, because the differences in the eggs that come from different breeds is still very fascinating. And if I managed to have more than 10 breeds, I'd probably just do one with my last name or the name of the egg business I'd be running and writing the date they were laid on the cartons they went in... because, at that point, that's a lot of eggs to stamp... And if it came down to having zillions of eggs every day, I'd just buy one of those dating stamps and to heck with breeds and names of chickens.
