first egg fertile?? can that happen..?

Maybe a tanish - brown colour?
Or maybe a green?

I had so many quail start to lay at once and set so many eggs I can’t say for sure if their first were fertile. However, many of my chickens and my peahen’s first eggs were fertile and hatched. There’s probably a lower chance, but it does happen :)
 
Soooo... if he’s been mating a lot then there’s a possibility that when she starts to lay they might be fertile. I was wondering why you were asking though because in my personal experience they don’t start to lay and go broody on their first ever clutch. However, if it’s for selling fertile eggs then it’s hard to know for sure unless you put them in an incubator and you candle them an see signs of fertility. In my opinion I want mine to go broody so I leave the eggs where she lays them because that can encourage broodiness as well as other factors. :)
