We had our first egg today, too!
I was floored, as I wasn't expecting one for at least a month or so.
OK -- so how am I to know which hen laid the egg? They were out free-ranging in our yard and it was in the center of our yard. Unfortunately, it was found when my 5-year-old stepped on the side of the egg. We were still pretty egg-cited. (Couldn't resist the pun)
Is it normal to get an egg this early? Looking back, I believe they were about a week or two old on March 12th... so that puts them at only 12-13 weeks... LOL, unless a couple of them were older than the store said (but they don't look it).
