First Egg from Easter Egger/Barnevelder Cross

One of my three Easter Egger/Barnevelder cross hens laid her first egg. They just turned 6 months and only one has the Easter Egger beard and ear muffs. I was curious to see what colored eggs they would be laying. Here she is hanging around the Barnevelder Rooster in the back.

So here's a pic of her egg compared to three of my Easter Eggers. Is it olive green? It's not brown like my Barnevelders.

It does look very olive'ish....I have an EE who lays an egg that same color.

I have an EE who started laying on the 9th. She was the first to lay and her eggs have gotten much larger.

That's why EE are popular, you never know what you will get until they lay it.
