First egg from first broody hatched this morning

Our first broody Sage hatched her first egg! I was able to snap a picture when tossing off our "babysitter". Torchic has been sitting on our broody eggs while they take a break to eat and dust bathe. She usually doesn't lay eggs, just sits

I'm sitting in a corner of the coop to make sure no one else tries to climb in the box too. Our cockerel is beside me trying to create a nest for a hen who is upset that all the "good" nest boxes are taken. We have 4 other empty boxes

He has desperately been trying to keep the peace with extra nests the past couple of weeks, but the girls rarely appreciate his efforts

We had 5/6 eggs hatch I wasn't sure if the 6th egg was fertile and it was not.

Sage let the chicks out of the run for their first field trip which included some human bonding time
