First Egg from our Babies!

This morning, found this egg when I let the chickens out of the coop! So exciting! Happy to know we got our chicks to this nice productive stage, especially since these are our first-ever chickens!

Oh, first eggs are so fun! I still get a kick out of finding eggs in the nest, though, 2 years later. Congrats!

Thanks, everyone. Yes that first egg is so wonderful! Now, we have 2.... wow. Not sure who of the 4 did them, though. Ruthie, a Buff Orpington is the largest and most mature looking, and has been practice squating, so most likely her.

How old was she when she started laying? I have one who is no where near laying, winter is coming so I'm afraid she won't really start till next spring! She is 26 weeks old....All my others started weeks ago and are the same age...
