New chicken person! We thought we were sold Rhode Island Reds, but I was assured by every commenter on another post that they are not RIR. Well, one of these laid the egg. It is very exciting!!

Edit: I found two more eggs later on in the day. Do I need to do anything to make them stronger? These obviously haven’t grown a shell and are very soft. Can I eat the one that isn’t compromised?
