First egg has white spots?

your first egg is WAAAY bigger than our firsts.. but one of them looks similar.. not sure if thats normal or not. ;) We blew our eggs to preserve them.. Here is the speckled one I was refering too...

I read a article on egg production from start to finish and the color is the last thing added as the yolk travels down the assembly line! The egg is just fine but her dying station isn't fully full yet, LOL. Best way I know to describe it.
I found the article on this forum somewhere.
Some hens lay speckled eggs all the time, my daughter has one. I figure one of her ink jets is plugged!

Thanks for the info. That makes a lot of sense! We found our 2nd brown egg today and it also has white spots, but not nearly as many...

I actually think those spots are really pretty! You should "blow out" that egg and save it, you take a pin, poke a small hole in both ends ( a very small drill bit is even better) then you poke in a toothpick or something skinny and break the yolk. You literally blow the innards out and wash the egg inside. You can also suck the innards out with a baby nose syringe or a medicine syringe.

(That is the firat step for Ukranian Easter eggs: pysanky)

You could even polish it, and it would look like a marble egg...

We did not eat our first eggs, but decided to blow the first egg from each of our girls!! Two brown ones (one with speckles) and two long skinny white eggs. I'm not sure what I'll do with them after that, but it's fun to show them off!!
