First Egg on the 4th!!!!!

What a nice 4th of July this has been, got our 1st egg from our Red Production Hen today.
Found it laying on the ground of all places.

Pretty egg. I have a Jersey Giant who lays a brown egg w/ dark brown speckles like this and I just love those. I've blown out a few to save them.

I too found my first eggs today. Seems a lot of folks have started getting first eggs the past couple of days but nothing compares to you getting your own first tiny pullet eggs.
