First Egg - Switch To Layer??

I got my first egg yesterday. No eggs yet today. It's almost time to buy new feed; I've had everyone on Flock Raiser. I was wondering if I should go ahead and buy Layer for the next bag? My concern is that I only got one egg, what if that is it until the Spring? Will they be okay on the Layer? Or should I keep them on Flock Raiser until I get more than just the one egg? I'm not doing any supplemental light in the coop, and I was surprised that I got the first egg this late, so I guess wouldn't be surprised if I don't get anymore until Spring. A little disappointed maybe now that they've teased me with ONE, but not surprised

Oh, and is it okay for the rooster to eat the Layer??

Thx!

Once my pullets start laying around this time of year for the first time, they usually lay straight through the winter. I would switch to layer feed and yes the roosters can eat it.
