I had gotten up to collecting 2 eggs a day, then it got hotter - now, ZERO
We haven't been able to get the fence fixed yet (should today) and I'm afraid they are laying in the woods - either that or the neighbor's toolshed! So glad these neighbors adore my poultry
Apparently the turkeys and guineas like her too: the only time they behave and go to bed like good little boys and girls lately is if she is out there talking to me! Otherwise, it's 15 minutes of ring-around-the-coop with my cane and net, with one little witch hopping from coop roof to barn roof. I keep an old knotted rope around for that - I just swing it up there and pound the roof on the side she's on and she'll jump off. Told the neighbor to keep an eye out for eggs. She's such a sweetie, I hope she finds some
Turns out they were laying eggs after all - in a pile under some brush we cut down, on top of the guineas eggs! Getting 3-4 a day in the coop now that we've cleaned up, but no more guinea eggs lol.
