First egg! Who laid it though?!

My barred rock pullet started laying on Friday, Jan 18th. Her first egg weighed 40.6g. She has laid an egg each day, except last Tuesday, each gradually increasing in weight. Her egg today weighs 47.6g.

I am noticing someone in the beginning said a large egg was 24 oz??? Forgive me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a 1.5lb egg sound a little far fetched? That sounds like a world record to me! Seems like it would be judged by grams, not ounces. But I'm new at the whole chicken thing, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here...
