Hello everyone, I have exciting news! As you can tell by the title of this thread, I got my first egg! It's light brown/cream, and it's smaller than the average egg (as expected). It was laid by my favorite chicken, Squeak :D She's about 22 weeks old (around 5 and a half months). My whole family has been waiting and waiting, so we're so excited it finally happened!

How exciting. We also got our first egg today!!! Our RIR was sitting in the nesting box earlier, which they never do, so I just knew it would be today. Once I heard all kinds of ruckus, I ran out there to find the most beautiful egg ever.
Yay for first eggs!
Now I don't know what to do with it :)
 
Congrats! I got my first egg on Friday-it was delicious :yesss:

It came from one of my BR-I've got 2 EE and can't wait to get my first blue egg.

Awesome! Both of your first eggs sound exciting! I'm going to make some scrambled eggs tonight, can't wait to try them :)
