First egg!

Got our first egg! Very excited. Check out the pic! We're watching the laying boxes today to see who is laying. We're not sure if it was Bea Arthur or Bea. Bea Arthur is about 2. We bought her two months ago, and no eggs yet. Well, we got one egg on Saturday, but none since.
Here is a picture of Bea. My favorite.

My first egg ever was also a green egg! It was very cool!
It looks to me like the chicken who laid the egg in the picture attatched would be Bea since she has the most EE charecteristics

Congrats! She is beautiful. I agree likely the one in the front of the picture. We get brown, dark rose pink, light rose pink, hint of green and hint of blue.

We're so new to chickens. Easter eggers lay different color eggs? Will one chicken lay the same color all of the time? I know that sounds like a silly question.
Our first egg had white spots. This one doesn't. Same chicken? We have two Easter eggers.

not a silly question... I am fairly new -- first year, however, hens will lay same color, always. May vary in shade -- like a little shade lighter or darker depending on diet, stress etc.
Also, my ee didn't lay consistent or same exact color for a couple of weeks... But once she got it all together, the shade has been consistent.

Congrats!!! If you REALLY want to know which one laid it you could put a bit of food coloring on their vent so the next egg will get a bit of color on the way out. I haven't done it, but others have suggested it.
