First egg from our hen! And first egg ever for a first time chicken owner . So EGGCITING LOL

There’s a small indent so I’ll be adding more shavings to our nesting box. Do you think it’s still good to eat? No leak so I think the internal membrane is intact.

Absolutely - enjoy! Isn't it the most exciting feeling! Our ladies laid 2 eggs for the first time on Easter Sunday. Rather fitting I thought!

I put it in the fridge due to the crack but I’m hoping to store room temperature in the long run.

Congrats on your first egg! I know when I found our first egg a couple of weeks ago I was so excited!

I store ours in the fridge for a couple of reasons. 1 our cats would find a way to play with anything that looks remotely like a ball. 2 my husband sells our extra eggs to his coworkers. 3 sometimes I have to clean them because they have something on them. But I do love some of the egg displays I have seen.

So lucky! How exciting. I'm waiting on my first egg...it's like being pregnant and watching your due date go by, and people keep asking no baby yet? (No eggs yet?)...thanks for reminding me my body (chickens) are slow!
