We got our first egg tonight from one of our 18-week pullets. My guess is the RRI who was singing on Saturday and rooting around one of the nesting boxes. I'm please to say that she did use one of the boxes. Two of the boxes had the straw hollowed out in the middle but only one had an egg. I'm thinking I should put some of that rubbery shelf liner on the linoleum squares in the bottom of the box if they are going to push the straw that far aside.
