We have been waiting forever! Will she lay every day now? Is it always in the morning?

Congratulations. Most of my flock started laying about 6 weeks ago & was very random at first.
You could expect a missed day or two here & there among other things.
My girls at first would randomly lay for each bird. I had a few soft shells, some odd shaped & a couple oops eggs. Now they are all pretty consistent & all nice eggs.

The egg making cycle takes about twenty-five hours. If she laid first thing in the morning today, tomorrow should be about an hour or so later. As her cycle gets to be too late in the evening, she will lay the following morning and so “skip” a day. When pullets first start to lay, they may skip days as their bodies “learn” how to make eggs. There’s a great thread on the whole egg laying cycle floating around on here. Very cool info. And congrats on your first egg!!
