You can add a few hours of light to the coop in the morning. Better to increment it gradually.
We're about 3 1/2 months after summer solstice. Declining day length in relation to dark period is a signal to most animals not to reproduce. On the other hand, increasing day length signals a hormonal change to rejuvenate the gonads and kick start production.
