Yay! Congrats! What breeds do you have? One advantage of a mixed flock is their eggs are usually easily identified but if you have many chickens of the same breed you won’t know who laid it without a camera or catching them in the act. Beautiful egg! The exciting and anticipation never gets old.

My mother's bantam flock had their first egg yesterday IT WAS SO TINY AND CUTE! Congratz on your first egg. I don't know any tricks for telling other than watching them and knowing what colored eggs your breeds lay if you have all diff breeds.)
