Hello, I have wonderful news
So this is Maverik (old picture) she is now 22 weeks old
and she just laid her first egg the first of all 5 Hens, and here is what it looks like
I noticed a few days ago that she was squatting for the cockerel (Sparky (to the left of Maverik)) and accepting him for breeding, then I checked her pelvis bones and they were 2 fingers apart, still expecting it to be like a month before I found an egg, but to my surprise I found one buried under the bedding by the door into the hen house (could have easily stepped on it) I looked down at the last minute on the way out and found it. I'm so excited, what did you all do with your first egg? hardboiled it? fried it? scrambled it? I'm kind of curious so let me know.
