Like @TooCheep said, offer it on the side rather than mixed in with the feed. They are generally pretty good at self-regulating how much calcium they need.Do you mix the oyster shells in with their food?

Congratulations!I am SO excited one of my australorps finally laid an egg!
I feel bad since they are still on chick crumble due to budget and All Flock being harder to find where I live. I am going to switch them over as soon as I can find a bag and supplement with some form of calcium (oyster shells are also real hard to find)
Kinda looks like someone stepped on it.Do you all think this is from them pecking, or from lack of bedding? I'm going into town today to get them real bedding. Just really hope it's not a peck
